Aamir Khan denies putting Rs 15,000 in wheat bag: It is either fake or Robin Hood doesn’t want to reveal himself!

Days after reports claiming Aamir Khan putting money in bags of wheat as surprise donation to need people surfaced on the internet, the Thugs of Hindostan actor has rubbished the same in a tweet.

Last week, various publications cited a TikTok video to suggest that Aamir Khan had sent a truck loaded with packets of wheat to Delhi aiming to help needy people amid the nationwide lockdown. According to reports, each of the 1 Kg packets of wheat had cash worth Rs 15,000 hidden inside.

Taking to Twitter on Monday (May 4, 2020), Aamir Khan stated that the reports could be “fake” and also clarified that if the news were true, he isn’t the “Robin Hood” in concern.

He wrote on Twitter, “Guys, I am not the person putting money in wheat bags. It’s either a fake story completely, or Robin Hood doesn’t want to reveal himself! Stay safe. Love, a.”

In April, Aamir Khan contributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s COVID-19 relief fund and also to the Chief Minister Relief Fund Maharashtra.

The Laal Singh Chaddha actor is reported to have made donations to the Film Workers Association and NGOs.

For the unversed, Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao are the founders of the NGO Paani Foundation, which help people to fight drought in the rural parts of Maharashtra and also helps with watershed management in the state.

Besides making sizeable donations, Aamir Khan on Sunday took part in the virtual concert I For India along with wife Kiran Rao. The couple urged people to stay strong in the fight against COVID-19 and also sang their own renditions of the songs Aa Chal Ke Tujhe and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Ha during the concert.

On the professional front, Aamir Khan — who was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan — will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha — which is an official adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump.
