On Thursday, the ‘Atrangi Re’ director Aanand L Rai announced on his social media handle to inform his fans that he has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, he also shared a health update and said that he is feeling ‘fine.’
Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, he tweeted as: “I have tested covid positive today.Just wanted to inform everyone that I don’t feel any symptoms & I feel fine. I’m quarantining as instructed by authorities.Anyone wh has come in contact with me recently is advised to quarantine & follow d govt protocols.Thank you for support🙏”

The director is shooting for his next directorial, ‘Atrangi Re’, which stars Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush in the pivotal roles. Recently, the cast wrapped up the shooting of the film, the crew of the film got together to celebrate. Sara and Dhanush were seen cutting a big cake with crew members all around to celebrate the wrap-up, however, Akshay, was missing from the party.
On Monday, the Aanand shared a photo on his Instagram handle that featured the film’s crew with Raisina Hill in the background, he also shared that the shooting of the film was over.
Earlier, the schedule of the ‘Atrangi Re’ was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, but later, it resumed in October this year. ‘Atrangi Re’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar and the music is composed by AR Rahman.
The movie is slated to release worldwide on Valentine’s Day 2021.
