John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan‘s crackling chemistry in Dostana left fans asking for more. Recently rumours abounded that the actors are all set to share screen space in Dostana 2. But fans were left disappointed when the rumours did not come true. Looks like John and Abhishek are finally coming together for a Hindi remake of a Malayalam film Ayyapanum Koshiyum. The original featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon and was a blockbuster.
As reported by sources to Pinkvilla, “John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan have been trying to collaborate on a film again ever since the release of Dostana. However, nothing really materialized. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is finally a quintessential two-hero film that does justice to their persona and gives equal standing to both John and Abhishek. They have started a conversation on the film and the paperwork should be done soon.”
in March John Abraham had bought the rights of the Malayalam film. The movie is all about an ego battle between the two leads and how it impacts the lives of their near and dear ones. The story revolves around the conflict between Koshy Kurien (Prithviraj), an influential and wealthy ex-Havildar and Ayyappan Nair (Biju Menon), a Sub-inspector in Attappadi.
Sources added that John and Abhishek have been trying to collaborate on a film ever since the release of Dostana. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a two-hero film that does justice to their persona and gives equal standing to both. The duo are in talks and will soon confirm the news.
