Television actress Preetika Chauhan has been caught by the NCB for Marijuana possession on Saturday. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) apprehended her and another person with 100 gm of ganja or marijuana. The two will remain in custody till November 8. The actress is also going to be produced before the court soon.
THe NCB arrested five more people from Versova, Mumbai. The two officers who made the arrest were deployed in plain clothes. The arrested Preetika and drug supplier Faisal in the raid and found 99 grams of Ganja from their possession. The seized Ganja was sourced from one Deepak Rathaur R/o Versova.
Preetika is a well-known TV actress. She has worked in shows such as Savdhaan India, CID, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman and Maa Vaishnodevi in which she plays Bhumidevi. She is from Himachal Pradesh and had debuted on the small screen in the year 2015
The NCB is tackling the problem of drug peddling in Mumbai ever since they started investigating the drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput case. Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor were also called in for questioning by the NCB in connection with drugs probe in Sushant’s case.
