Renowned actress from the Kannada film industry, Shanaya Katwe has been arrested by police in her brother, Rakesh Katwe’s murder case. She has been taken in remand by the Hubballi Rural police. Her brother was just 32-year-old. The decapitated head was reportedly found in the Devaragudihal forest, while other mutilated body parts were dumped across Gadag Road including other areas in Hubballi, reported the regional media outlets.
The reason for the actress brutally killing her own brother was reportedly due to his strong opposition to her love affair. Apparently, Shanaya’s boyfriend identified as Niyazahemed Katigar has also been arrested to be involved in the murder case. According to the latest report by the New Indian Express, the police arrested few other people to be linked in the case- Tousif Channapur (21-year-old), Altaf Mulla (24-year-old) and Aman Giraniwale (19-year-old).
As per the media reports, Shanaya had visited her brother, Rakesh at his house in Hubballi, while she was promoting one of her movies. Rakesh is said to have been strangled to death at his residence. Katigar and his friends reportedly chopped the body and dumped the pieces across various places in and around the city.
Shanaya is known to have made a shift from her modeling career to acting. She marked her debut with a Kannada film, Idam Premam Jeevanam in 2018 and later she appeared in an adult comedy flick-Ondu Ghanteya Kathe.
