Days after the wedding of Billionaire Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, a picture of Nita Ambani along with Armed forces has gone viral on social media. A user on Facebook claimed that Indian armed forces were used as a security in Akash and Shloka’s wedding which took place this month. You should be noted that it was fake news as Nita and Mukesh Ambani did not use Armed forces in the wedding.
The wedding of Akash and Shloka was attended by Bollywood celebrities, politicians, businessmen and sportsmen. Taking to social media, a user named Thameem Tantra shared a picture of Nita Ambani and armed forces and wrote: “Our Armed Forces are used in Private Ceremony of a rich man. India has become a joke and the world will laugh at us !”
The text on the picture reads: “Congratulation India! India is now officially a Banana Republic. Our Armed Forces are used in Mukesh Ambani’s Son Marriage. In five years of RSS/BJP rule, this is where we have come. Shame!”
The news has been fact-checked by NewsMobile and they found that the picture is real but the text attached with the picture is misleading. When they put the image though Reverse Image Search they found that Nita Ambani’s picture with army soldiers is from the time when the Ambani family organised a special musical fountain show on March 12th, especially for the armed forces to seek blessings for the newlywed couple.
The picture of the event was shared by senior reliance official and former journalist Rohit Bansal on his verified Twitter handle on the morning of March 13th.
“We feel delighted and honoured that the protectors of this city and the nation are joining us in our celebrations. It’s an emotional and joyous occasion for us and we hope these heroes, who make us proud every day, will shower their blessings on Akash and Shloka,” Nita Ambani quoted as saying at the event.
What caught people’s attention at the show was a special musical fountain show Ananta Prem, which was reportedly conceptualised by Nita Ambani. It was set on the theme of Lord Krishna’s Raas Leela dance to symbolise an eternal love story.
