On Monday, Alia Bhatt joined boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and his family- mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni with husband Bharat Sahni, and daughter Samara on a trip to Jaipur. The actress’s mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt have also joined them. Now, according to the recent reports, Alia-Ranbir are all set to get engaged today in Rajasthan. Yes, you read that right!
A report in Bollywood Hungama states that the duo will be exchanging rings in the presence of their family members, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and few others. Karan Johar, who is in Goa currently, will be reaching Rajasthan to be a part of the ceremony.
Further, the reports state, “They are all staying together at Aman Hotel in Ranthambore. At first, we all thought it’s a vacation to bring in New Year, but with full attendance of RK and Alia’s close pals, we are forced to think if they are getting engaged today. We heard from someone that a closed engagement ceremony might take place in hotel today, Why else would family and friends fly together and stay at a single location? It’s obvious that some ritual is taking place behind the doors,” a source close to Bollywood Hungama quoted.
Recently, in an interview with journalist Rajeev Masand, the ‘Wake Up Sid’ actor spoke about his marriage with Alia and said that the deal would have been ‘sealed’ had the ‘pandemic not hit our lives’.
The duo will be seen together for the first time on the big screen next year in Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra.’
