COVID-19 Crises: Amitabh Bachchan Arranges Charter Planes For 500 Migrant Workers

During the COVID-19 crises, Bollywood celebrities were caught taking the charge in order to help the needy in the pandemic lockdown. Celebs were not only seen helping people with food items, but they were also seen helping out the daily wage workers to reach their homes while entire nation was on lockdown. After Sonu Sood helped hundreds of migrant workers reach their hometown, Bollywood’s superstar, Amitabh Bachchan helps some more migrant workers. As per the latest reports, Big B arranged charter planes for the needy migrant labours.

As per a latest report in Times Of India, Senior Bachchan has arranged for two charter flights each for Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. Each flight would be carrying around 180 migrant workers at a time and the charter plane with operate on June 11 and 12.

Rajesh Yadav, MD of Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd (ABCL) informed, that the actor asked him to arrange chartered flights as he did not want them to lose hope after they were told that they could go home. According to the daily, the migrants were supposed to be sent home by trains but could not due to some technical issue. Hence, Bachchan arranged for chartered flights. The stars team has also distributed ration packets, donated PPE kits, sanitisers to hospitals and police stations in Mumbai.

Amitabh Bachchan and other Bollywood celebrities were constantly seen spready the awareness on infection of COVID-19. B-townies have been constantly supporting netizens to keep hope in this tough time. We are still waiting to hear from Big B on arranging the charter planes.
