On April 1, Anupam Kher took to his social media handle and issued a statement confirming that his wife and veteran actress-politician Kirron Kher is suffering from multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Now, the actor spoke to his fans via Instagram live and shared an update on his wife’s health.
The 66-year-old actor said that Kirron Kher is improving. “She is better but the medicines for multiple myeloma have many side effects. She is in good spirits and hopefully she will come out of it. With prayers from her well-wishers, everything will be fine.”

In another Instagram post, the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actor shared a photo of the letter sent by his wife to Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh administration in which the former has asked for issue Rs 1 crore to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) so that they can purchase ventilators for the COVID-19 patients.
Recently, Anupam left his US medical drama, show, New Amsterdam, in which, he essayed the role of Dr. Kapoor on the show and was among the most popular characters. The news came after a week he revealed that his wife Kirron Kher is diagnosed with cancer. He also confirmed his exit from the show in an Instagram post.
