Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh Team up for Cross-Border Love Story

Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor is currently gearing for the release of his upcoming period drama Panipat. The Ashutosh Gowariker directorial also features Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. The movie is all set to hit the theatres soon and we now hear that Arjun has signed a Nikhhil Advani film and will be sharing screen space with actress Rakul Preet.

The cross-border dramedy is written by Kaashvie along with Amitosh Nagpal and Anuja Chauhan. It will be produced by Nikkhil with John Abraham and Bhushan Kumar. The trio have earlier come together for Batla House, Satyameva Jayate and Satyameva Jayate 2.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror co-producer Nikhhil Advani said, “It is a coming-of-age, cross-border love story, beautifully written by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal and Kaashvie. It will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles and will feature Arjun and Rakul in never-seen-before avatars. We will be locking the title and the release date soon.

Speaking about the Nikhhil Advani film Arjun Kapoor said, “I have grown up in a joint family so I understood that it’s the biggest pillar of love, strength and support. That’s the essence of our film, which has its heart in the right place. I’m having a blast even during the prep.”

The film also marks the directorial debut of Kaashvie Nair, who has earlier assisted Nikkhil on his sports-drama Patiala House and action thriller D-Day. She has also co-directed the TV series POW Bandi Yuddh Ke.

Co-producer Bhushan Kumar has revealed that the film will go on floors this month.

On the work front, Rakul Preet will soon be seen in Marjaavaan co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria.
