Ramayan’s Raavan Arvind Trivedi Passes Away At 82

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Ghanshyam Nayak passed away a day before. Now the entertainment industry has lost another popular actor. Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi passes away in Mumbai on Tuesday night. The actor is known for his portrayal of‘Ravan’ in Ramanand Sagar’s popular series Ramayan. He was just 82 years old.

The actor’s nephew confirming the news of Arvind Tiwari passing away to ABP said, “Uncle was unwell for past few years. Things only worsened over the past three years. He had to be admitted to the hospital a few times. He had come back from the hospital only last month. On Tuesday night, he suffered a heart attack around 9:30. He died at his Kandivali residence in Mumbai. ”

Arvind Tiwari’s last rites were conducted at 8 am on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Arvind Trivedi’s career lasted in Gujarati cinema for 40 years. He has acted in close to 300 movies in Hindi and Gujarati. Not only in Ramayan, but the prolific actor has also featured in Vikram Aur Betaal. Arvind Trivedi was also a Member of Parliament from 1991 to 1996. He was selected from the Sabarkatha constituency.

The well-known actor is also the acting chairman of the Censor Board for Film Certification (CBFC).
