Aryan Khan Asks Court To Grant Bail In Drugs Case, Says ‘Will Not Abscond’

Currently, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail plea is being heard in the Mumbai drugs-on-cruise case. On Thursday, Aryan, along with Arbaaz Khan Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, and 4 others’ NCB custody was ended.

The court sent the accused to 14-day judicial custody in the cruise drugs seizure case. Yesterday, the Court said that the case will now be heard by special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in Khan’s case.

Now, Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde told the court that since no drug was found with him, he should be granted bail on merits. Aryan Khan also told the court that he will not abscond.

“Maneshinde – Maneshinde – I have parents and a family here. I have an indian passport and I am not going to abscond. There is no question of tampering*. I should be granted bail.*,” reported Live Law.

Further, as per Live Law’s tweet, Khan stated that he went to the cruise on an invitation, “I am a 23-year-old with no prior antecedents. I happen to be from Bollywood. I went on an invitation, refused when asked if I have drugs. They were honest not to accuse me of anything else. Data from my mobile has been retrieved and sent for forensics.”

A few hours back, Aryan, along with the other accused, were being taken for medical tests to JJ Hospital. While the verdict is yet to be announced, Aryan Khan and two other accused have been taken to Arthur Road jail.
