Asia Cup 2018: Rashid Khan fined for sending off Asif Ali of Pakistan

Rashid Khan was fined for sending off Asif Ali after dismissing him in the 47th over of Pakistan's innings during their Super Four match in 2018 Asia Cup

Rashid Khan along with skipper Asghar Afghan and Pakistan all-rounder Hasan Ali has been fined 15 percent of match fees, while also receiving one demerit point for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the 2018 Asia Cup Super-Four match between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

While the Afghanistan skipper Asghar was charged for shoving the bowler Hasan, during a run in the 37th over of the Afghan innings, Rashid was fined for giving a send-off to Asif Ali after dismissing him in the 47th over of the Pakistani innings.

Four overs before he was pushed, Hasan Ali had threatened to throw the ball back towards the striker Hashmatullah Shahidi off his own bowling, which was considered violent act by the match referee.

All the three players have been said to have pleaded guilty and have accepted the charges which were labelled against them by the on-field umpires Anil Chaudhary and Shaun George, third umpire Rod Tucker and fourth umpire Anis-ur-Rahman.
