The pandemic Coronavirus has affected the economy of the nation. While the daily wage workers have suffered the most, the lockdown has also caused the losses to the middle class and upper-middle-class section of society. In an interview with news agency, IANS Gaur said, “I had come to Azamgarh for the recce of a film. We were here when the lockdown was announced and then it was not possible to return. The project we were working on was stopped and the producer said it would take another year or more to get back to work. I then decided to take to my father’s business and started selling vegetables on a handcart. I am familiar with the business and have no regrets. I have my own house in Mumbai and I am confident that I will return one day. Till then, I am here doing what I can.”
The director has come to Mumbai in the year 2002, apparently with the help of his friends and renowned writer Shahnawaz Khan. He later had worked in the lights department and eventually ventured into the production department for TV serials. After becoming an assistant director, he worked as the episode director and the unit director for ‘Balika Vadhu’. He had worked for shows such as ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’ and ‘Sujata’ and few others. He is said to have assisted the directors in projects featuring Randeep Hooda, Sunil Shetty, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, and Milind Gunaji.
