Bhuj The Pride Of India: Sanjay Dutt & Ajay Devgn starrer goes on floor

Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Bhuj The Pride Of India’ has gone on floors at Ramoji Filmcity, Hyderabad. The movie that is being directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya is based on true events happened during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The movie also features Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra, Rana Daggubati and Ammy Virk.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,

‘Bhuj The Pride Of India’ has Ajay Devgn depicting the role of an Indian Air Force Officer Squadron Leader (later Wing Commander) Vijay Karnik. He was the supervisor of Bhuj airport in Gujarat during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The film will follow how Karnik and his team, with the help of local women, reconstructed the destroyed Indian Air Force airstrip in Bhuj, Gujarat.

Sanjay Dutt will be seen portraying the role of a civilian who helps the Indian forces during the war. Sonakshi Sinha’s character will be called Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker. Rana Daggubati will play an army officer in the Madras Regiment. Parineeti Chopra will essay the role of an Indian spy in Lahore, named Heena Rehman. Ammy Virk is depicting the role of a fighter pilot, who also played a crucial role in the war.

In March this year, Bhushan Kumar, producer of the film, took to social media to announce the film.

‘Bhuj The Pride Of India’ is set to hit screens on August 14, 2020.
