Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has arrived at Narcotics Control Bureau Office in Mumbai for interrogation. The actor was summoned soon after his house was raided on Monday. Earlier his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades was also questioned by the NCB for two consecutive days. The South African model was interrogated for over six hours on both days. The couple is being questioned as part of the NCB’s ongoing investigations into the Bollywood-drugs mafia nexus. It is under scanner since actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise in June.
Arjun and Gabriella’s summons came in the wake of the October 19 arrest of Gabriella’s brother, Agisialos Demetriades. It was alleged that he was in touch with drug peddlers. The NCB had raided Arjun’s home on Monday and seized electronic gadgets like laptops, mobile phones and tablets during the search.
NCB had also arrested Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife Shabana Saeed after ganja was allegedly found at their residence in suburban Juhu. Shabana was placed under arrest but later granted bail.
Till date, the NCB has arrested Agisialos Demetriades and 20 others, including actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Rhea, however, is out on bail whereas Showik has filed a fresh bail plea in the high court.
