South Korean boy band, BTS members have set a new norm at breaking records with their soulful songs and stage performances. This time around the members ‘Map Of The Soul : 7′ album breaks a record that was set by Micheal Jackson in Japan around 36 years year back.
BTS’ ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ has managed to rank number one on Oricon’s mid-year album chart for the first half. Its been 36 years since Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ set that benchmark. BTS’ ‘7’ became the album from a foreign artist to top the chart in Japan in so many years. Jackson’s iconic ‘Thriller’ was released in the year 1984.
‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ the iconic masterpiece curated by BTS was released on February 21. The songs have been garnering love from all across the world. BTS not only managed to make good business with this album, but also ranked fourth on US billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’. It ranked first in UK’s ‘album chart top 100’. That’s indeed a great achievement for any artist or band.
Currently, after celebrating their seventh debut anniversary with A.R.M.Y, the boys are gearing up for their upcoming albums. Being on COVID-19 self-quarantine, they have been working on their next projects.
