BTS member RM confesses about singing Indian song Tunak Tunak Tun

South Korean boyband, BTS has a great fan following in India. Time and again they were seen greeting their Indian fans during the interviews and live sessions. Bangtan Boy’s leader, RM in one of his interviews had confessed that he used to sing Daler Mehndi’s song, Tunak Tunak Tun when he was in school. He also revealed that this song is quite popular in South Korea.

In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stones India, while talking about India, Kim Namjoon confessed that he used to croon Tunak Tunak Tun when he was young. This Punjabi track is originally sung by Daler Mehndi and it went to become one of the massive hits in no time. He informed, “I could say that the most famous Indian song in Korea is ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’. It’s really famous. I sang it when I was a middle school student when I was 14.”  During the interview, RM also confessed that he has been wishing to visit India for a long time. The members are yet to visit India.

Over the last few years, the Kpop wave has attracted an audience in India and BTS also garnered a huge fandom. The septet is yet to surprise their Indian fans with the announcement of hosting the concerts here. Earlier there was speculation that the band is considering visiting India, however, they had to adopt a lot of changes in work schedules.
