Cardiff not a happy place for both England and Australia

England lead the five match ODI series 1-0 after being victorious in the 1st match. They subjugated with the ball in hand but looked nervy when they came out to chase. Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan and Joe Root looked solid at the crease displaying great stroke play. But once these players perished, it seemed a tipsy turvy ride before David Willey took England home.

The second match is been played at Cardiff and it has bitter memories for both sides. England lost to Pakistan in ICC Champions trophy 2017. They stepped on field as favorites. Not just for beating Pakistan but also to lift Champions Trophy for the first time. Meanwhile, Australia were conquered by an underdog Bangladesh side in 2005 at Cardiff. Adding to their misery the Kangaroo’s have lost against England on two previous occasions at this venue.

More than the notion of victory it will be rousing to spectate which team has the more unfortunate day. At present England are well placed on 184 for the loss of three wickets with Jason Roy galvanizing the English spectators. He is unbeaten on 91 runs.
