Chris Evans best known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series of films has been rumoured to have earned the title of 2021’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ 2021 of People magazine.
According to Page Six, Evans was in the running to take the title last year, however, the plans were changed after the actor created a frenzy by accidentally sharing an explicit picture on his Instagram. Even though, Chris took down the picture, the screenshots on social media sent fans into turmoil. The title went to Michael B. Jordan last year.
“Chris was in discussions to take the [Sexiest Man Alive] cover last year, but it was not great timing,” a source told Page Six.
Before Evans, many Hollywood celebrities like Dwayne Johnson, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Harrison Ford, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Affleck, Johnny Depp, Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, and Matt Damon are a few of the many men who have been titled as the ‘Sexiest Man Alive.’
On the work front, Chris Evans will star in the Netflix film adaptation of the 2009 novel ‘The Gray Man’, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
He will appear in Adam McKay’s comedy film for Netflix, ‘Don’t Look Up’, which features an ensemble cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, and Ariana Grande.
Evans is also set to voice the titular role in the upcoming Disney/Pixar animated film Lightyear that will be directed by Angus MacLane
