As per Hollywood Reporter, Chris Hemsworth will be playing the role of WWE veteran Hulk Hogan in a Netflix biopic. Reportedly, the biopic will be directed by Joker director Todd Phillips. Chris Hemsworth recently opened up in an interview about the project.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Hemsworth revealed he has not seen the script of the film yet. He said, “I know it’s being written right now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now.”
He added, “I’m just fascinated by that world, and I think they’re pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven’t seen before. “I’m as intrigued as you are.”
While commenting on the film, Hogan said on TV a few months ago that Phillips told him that Hemsworth thinks he could get an Oscar for the role.
“We had a meeting and (Phillips) goes, ‘I really think this could be a huge movie and Chris Hemsworth is a huge fan,’” Hogan said.
For the unversed, Hulk Hogan is one of the biggest names in wrestling. We are looking forward to the biopic.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction released on April 24 on Netflix and it has got positive reviews from his fans. Chris plays Tyler Rake in Extraction. The film also stars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, David Harbour, Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Marc Donato, Fay Masterson and Derek Luke.
