Deepika Padukone Wants to Join Avengers Series But On THIS Condition

Deepika Padukone, who has just returned from London after unveiling her wax statue at Madame Tussauds expressed her wish to be a part of Marvel movies or Avengers series. Talking to foreign media in London, Deepika Padukone said that the world will soon witness a superhero story originating from India.

There is no doubt Avengers has been one of the most loved series globally and it’s earlier part were appreciated by people across the world including India. The next part of the series ‘Avenger: Endgame’ is likely to hit the theatres on 26 April 2019 in India.

When ‘Padmaavat’ actress was asked if she would like to be a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), she told Metro.co.uk, “Yeah, of course. Why not? I mean I’d say Indian origin. So whether it’s Marvel or whether it’s Avengers, or you know, any of these iconic characters that we’ve seen in the cinema, I think it would be very interesting. And I think the world is ready for it to see one of these superheroes, one that originates from India. I believe it will happen soon. I know it will.”

It is to be noted that Deepika Padukone had earlier worked in Hollywood movie ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ opposite Hollywood star Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Nina Dobrev and several others.

Talking about her upcoming Bollywood film, Deepika will be next seen in the Meghna Gulzar directorial ‘Chhapaak’. It is based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She is likely to begin shooting for the film from next week.

“I start filming on my next film, it’s called Chhapaak. It’s a story inspired by the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. It’s not a biopic, it is inspired by her life. We start filming next week,” Deepika said.

The wife of Ranveer Singh was recently featured as one of the 14 global actors on the latest edition of American magazine Vogue. She was even featured on the cover and wrote, “Thrilled to share with you my cover for @voguemagazine’s April issue celebrating this talented group of women from across the globe!”
