Dilip Kumar’s Youngest Brother Ehsan Khan Passes Away

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has lost his youngest brother Ehsan Khan. The actor’s brother breathed his last at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday night. 90-year-old Ehsan Khan had tested COVID-19 positive and was under the observation of doctor Jalil Parkar. Ehsan also suffered from heart disease, hypertension, and Alzheimer.

Dilip Kumar’s family friend Faisal Farooqui announced the news through the 97-year-old actor’s official Twitter account, where he wrote: “Dilip Saab’s youngest brother Ehsan Khan passed away few hours ago. Earlier, youngest brother Aslam had passed away. We are from God and to Him we return. Please pray for them. Posted by Faisal Farooqui on behalf of Dilip Kumar.”

Dr Jalil Parkar told news agency PTI, “Mr Aslam passed away due to COVID-19. He had pneumonia with diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He had multiple organ failure. He died in the early hours of Friday.”

On August 21, Dilip Kumar’s brother Aslam Khan succumbed to Covid-19 in Lilavati Hospital. The brothers were admitted to the hospital after they complained of breathlessness and their oxygen saturation level dipped. They both had later tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu have been in self-isolation in their home.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dilip Kumar’s family.
