Four days after ‘Drishyam 2‘ went on floors, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has joined the sets. A picture of the actor with his onscreen family is viral on social media. In the picture Mohanlal as Georgekutty is seen posing with his onscreen wife Rani and daughters Anju and Anu who are all grown-up.
While Mohanlal was expected to join the team on September 26, he came on sets a day early. The actor is taking all the precautionary measures as protection against COVID-19. . The actor took to Instagram and shared an image of him with the team from the sets. “Joined at the sets of #Drishyam2 by adhering to all safety protocols set for Covid 19,” he posted.
The filming of Drishyam 2 had officially begun in Ernakulam along with director Jeethu Joseph, producer Antony Perumbavoor. The team is adhering to strict Covid-19 protocols during filming.
Drishyam is a megahit franchise. It is also adapted in Hindi with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran in lead roles.
‘Drishyam 2: The Resumption’, is being helmed by Jeethu Joseph. This sequel is set seven years later from where the first part ended. Produced under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the makers of Drishyam 2 are yet to share the release.
Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are also likely to collaborate for another project called ‘Ram’.
