Earthquake of Magnitude 4.1 Strikes West Bengal

Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred today in West Bengal. The tremors were reported from Durgapur at 7:54 am, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed. There have been no reports of any damage or loss of life as yet.

The epicenter of the low-intensity earthquake was Lat: 23.79 & Long: 88.36, at a depth of 10 km, 110-km ENE of Durgapur, West Bengal.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 struck 30 km southeast of Baharampur here on Wednesday. The information was shared by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
