Eden Hazard can become the best in the world at Chelsea: Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri feels that Eden Hazard has all the required elements to become the world's best player while staying at the London club.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri feels that Eden Hazard has all the required elements to become the world’s best player while staying at the London club.

This reaction from Sarri come in the wake of Hazard’s desire to play club football in Spain in order to win the Ballon d’Or–a trophy awarded to the best player in the world every year.

“Eden is a fantastic player. It’ll be important for us if he will remain. He can win everything, also the Ballon d’Or, here without playing in Spain,” the Italian said, ahead of their home match against Manchester United, as quoted by Reuters.
The star forward has stated his intentions of playing for Champions League holders Real Madrid earlier. The Belgium international has a contract with the Premier League club that runs until 2020.

“Chelsea will be able to win the Champions League, Belgium will be able to win the European Cup… I only saw him yesterday, but I want to tell him (that) very soon,” he added.

Chelsea has had a very impactful start to the Premier League this season and have established themselves as title contenders early on. Under their newly appointed manager Sarri, the Blues have played eight games where they have won six and drawn two and are currently placed second in the points table behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

The Stamford Bridge would welcome a familiar face with visitors Manchester United in the form of Jose Mourinho as the Red Devils would aim at getting their campaign back on track after having had a poor start to the season with three losses in eight games.

“We are talking about a coach who has won everything. He has won everywhere. So I think that I have to respect him. But I think you also all have to respect him,” Sarri said.

But United’s last-gasp win over Newcastle United in their previous match would give them a lot of much-needed confidence. Three late goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez helped Mourinho’s side overcome a 0-2 deficit and eventually win the contest at the Old Trafford.

“They are a very strong team. Maybe player-by-player, they are the best team in the Premier League. At the moment I think City is better like a team. But player-by-player, they are really very strong,” the former Napoli boss added.
