Ekta Kapoor Announces Pavitra Rishta Fund in memory of Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput began his career with television serials, his debut show was Star Plus’s romantic drama ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ (2008), however, he gained popularity with the television show ‘Pavitra Rishta’, now, in the memory of the actor, Ekta Kapoor has joined hands with Tarun Katial to launch the Pavitra Rishta Fund to spread mental health awareness

Talking about the same, Ekta told IANS, “The times have drastically shifted from what it was 10 years ago, as there is a lot more pressure today. With the pandemic around, especially with all of us being confined to our homes, people are facing a lot more stress and anxiety. Stress levels due to work, friction at home, loss of jobs, etc, have contributed to the ongoing issues of deteriorating mental health conditions in many. It is my privilege to be a part of the Pavitra Rishta Fund, and I will always be happy to be a part of such initiatives in the future as well.”

‘Pavitra Rishta’ also featured Ankita Lokhande in the lead. For the unversed, Sushant fell in love with Ankita on the sets of the show and dated for nearly six years, however, the two separated their ways in 2016 breaking the hearts of their fans.

SSR’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ helmed by Mukesh Chhabra and stars Sanjana Sanghi as the female lead, produced by Fox Star Studios, which is the official remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama ‘The Fault In Our Stars.’ The film also stars Saif Ali Khan.

The film will be released on July 24 on Disney+Hotstar.
