‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ Production Postponed Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

The Coronavirus threat has emerged across the world. Due to which many Hollywood films and shows have been delayed to later dates. One of them is the third instalment of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.’

As per the report in Variety, the production of ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ was expected to start on Monday in the U.K. but Warner Bros. has postponed it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At present, there is currently no word when the production will begin or if this stop will affect the release date of Fantastic Beasts 3. The film is set to hit theatres on November 12, 2021.

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’  is a joint British and American production, it is a spin-off of and prequel to the Harry Potter film series. It was produced and written by J. K. Rowling in her screenwriting debut, inspired by her 2001 “guide book” of the same name.

‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ stars Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, and Jessica Williams are all set to return as Newt Scamander, Albus Dumbledore, Gellert Grindelwald, Credence/Aurelius Dumbledore, Queenie Goldstein, Jacob Kowalski, Tina Goldstein, and Professor Eulalie Hicks respectively.

For the unknown, this series is one of Warner Bro’s top franchises with the prior two films grossing more than $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office.

The movie is one of the last major Hollywood productions to delay its shoot. On Friday, Warner Bro’s announced that it would be delaying “The Batman” while it migrated locations to Liverpool, but was keeping out hope that they could make it work for the third instalment of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which was supposed to be using the same sound stage.
