Hindi film actor-director Farhan Akhtar on Sunday slammed a social media user and called him bigot for asking him to reach out to Muslims. The social media user @ggiittiikkaa, urged Farhan Akhtar to stop destroying country’s property while staging protest against the recently passed bill, Citizenship Amendment Act.
Asking Farhan to stop Muslims destroying country’s properly on Twitter, the user wrote, “Hi @FarOutAkhtar @Javedakhtarjadu @azmishabana, reach out to your qaum & tell them not to destroy my country’s property. Don’t cry when these rioters get arrested & beaten black & blue.”
The hate provoking tweet did not go down well with Farhan Akhtar and called the user Bigot and then he went out and wrote in his tweet that he is going to request Coolie no 1 director to cast her for Bigot no 1. Farhan called the social media user a perfect girl for Bigor no 1.
Ever since the Citizenship Amendment Bill cleared in Lok Sabha and got final its final approval in Rajya Sabha, the country has been witnessing violent protest throughout the country. Notably, the Citizenship Amendment Bill, which has since become an Act, will only provide Indian nationality to Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists fleeing persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
Students, celebrities and social workers across the country have been demanding the withdrawal of the CAA claiming that the fresh legislation would destroy the demographic situations and life, culture and socio-economic positions to the 45.58 million populations of region.
