Google to soon warn users of unreliable search results

California-based tech giant, Google has apparently been working on its new feature in order to help users find more reliable content on the result pages. The search engine has been testing its new features, wherein it would display a disclaimer to the user about unreliable and most recently uploaded content on the search result page.

Giving insides to this update, Google posted on its blog, “While Google Search will always be there with the most useful results we can provide, sometimes the reliable information you’re searching for just isn’t online yet.” As per the company, the new feature currently notices only a small percentage of searches, which tend to be about developing trending topics.

The feature aims to eliminate the fake news culture, unreliable speculations and others. The new prompt will let users know if the content has been uploaded recently and how much it is reliable for the search term. This comes as a fix for Google showing incorrect information at times in the cases of breaking news or viral trends.
