Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty starrer ‘Hera Pheri’ is one of the most loved films in Hindi cinema. On Wednesday, the movie completed 21 years of its release and is still identified for its amazing performances and the tongue-in-cheek dialogues that remain to be noted amongst the moviegoers.
In May 2018 it was confirmed that Indra Kumar will be directing Hera Pheri 3 and Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will be reprising their characters from prior films as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao respectively. On Wednesday, the producer Firoz Nadiadwala confirmed that the script of the film has been locked.
Talking to Pinkvilla, he said that the script is finalized and soon the makers will share an official announcement soon.
Talking about the comic caper, he said that they were being extra careful on the script. “Now that we have things in place, I can say, banegi tab do teen Hera Pheri saath mein banegi, Inshallah. We will make up for the time gap between part two and three.”
Firoz also said that there is a lot of pressure in taking a cult franchise like Hera Pheri forward. “More than pressure, it is a moral responsibility to deliver quality product to the audience. God has blessed us with such a good franchise, so we have to be careful with the story, screenplay, dialogue, and give our best. We don’t have to take our franchise for granted, but start from the scratch. We have been working towards attaining this goal.”
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, the film featured Tabu, Om Puri, Gulshan Grover, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda in pivotal roles.
