Hrithik Roshan Records Statement In Fake E-Mails Case

Superstar Hrithik Roshan has visited the Crime Branch office in Mumbai on February 28, 2021. The Krrish star will be recording his statement in connection with the fake e-mail case. The actor had filed a complaint in 2016 that someone impersonating him had been sending emails to actor Kangana Ranaut, using a bogus mail id.

Hrithik Roshan was summoned to appear at 11 am and was seen leaving his residence in a black tee and cap. The actor had been asked to visit the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) at the commissioner’s office.

Hrithik had accused Kangana of sending him hundreds of emails. The allegation was denied by Kangana Ranaut.

Soon a case under section 419 (cheating by personation) of IPC and sections 66C (identity theft), 66D (cheating by personation using computer resources) of the Information Technology Act was registered against an unknown person at Cyber Police Station. The Cyber cell had even taken Hrithik’s laptop and phone for investigations.

In December last year, Mr Roshan’s lawyer had approached the Mumbai police commissioner regarding the pending probe. In December 2020, the case was transferred to Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU) on a request made by Hrithik’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani.

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan after the stupendous success of his last releases Super 30 and War will soon be seen in Fighter and Krrish 4. Fighter has Hrithik Roshan sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone for the first time. The movie is directed by Sidharth Anand.
