I Breathe for India Covid Crisis Relief: Abhishek Bachchan to raise funds

Owing to the second wave of Coronavirus outspread, India recorded a rapid surge in the COVID-19 tally. The nation’s highest single-day spike has crossed the mark of 4,01,078 as of by Saturday i.e May 8. Maharashtra, Delhi, Bengaluru. West Bengal, Gujarat and few other regions have contributed with the highest number of cases recently. Bollywood actor, Abhishek Bachchan to be a helping hand now in COVID relief. The actor is all set to raise funds through ‘I Breathe for India Covid Crisis Relief’.

Star couple, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are the most recent ones to announce raising funds for COVID-19 relief in India. Joining the bandwagon, Abhishek Bachchan took to his social media handles and announced about his fundraising campaign. “Today we join hands to come together to help India fight COVID-19. For every rupee raised our key event donors will match up to 7.5 crores in proceeds. I stand for India, I BREATHE FOR INDIA- do you? ,” he shared on his Twitter handle.

The only way to make a difference is – TOGETHER,” he shared in another tweet post.

B-town celebs such as Kriti Sanon, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Shikhar Dhawan, Faye D’Souza, Rana Daggubati, Karan Johar, Tarun Tahiliani and few others are apparently a part of this relief fundraiser. It is being hosted by Lara Dutta and Shyamal Vallabhjee.

For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan including his father, Amitabh, wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya had tested positive for the Coronavirus. The family soon recovered.
