For the unversed, International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12. It marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, one of the most recognized nurses. Florence Nightingale was born on this day 200 years ago.
A campaigner for healthcare reforms, she helped establish modern nursing as a profession. She’s honoured with a blue plaque in Mayfair where she lived.
