Actress Janhvi Kapoor‘s much-awaited film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is all set for its release on the OTT platform. The biographical drama is based on the life of Gunjan Saxena. It is all about the Indian Air Force’s first woman pilot in combat. The girl all thanks to her grit and determination earned a name during the Kargil war.

Janhvi as Gunjan Saxena is on a mission to make her father proud. She carves a niche for herself in the defense forces which was highly dominated by men. In spite of many hurdles in the men dominated environment Gunjan never gave up. She went to Kargil to fight for her country along with Flight Lieutenant Srividya Rajan. Together they both created history.
‘Gunjan Saxena’ also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij, and Ayesha Raza in a pivotal role.
Directed by Sharan Sharma the film is produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will stream on Netflix from August 12.
