Jerusalema Dance Challenge Accepted Across World By Law Enforcements

A video of police officers in Switzerland dancing to a popular song went viral. The Swiss Police said, “Sometimes it doesn’t take much to meet life with a smile. Maybe we’ll make it, even in this not easy time for all of us to put a smile on your face.” Their 4-minute long video garnered more than 8 million views on Facebook alone.

The video that ended with a challenge created a buzz online. Frankie Beats, an Irish radio DJ based in Portugal, shared their video. He also asked the Gardaí, the national police of Ireland, if they were up for the Jerusalema dance challenge. It is one of the biggest social media trends of 2020.

It was soon accepted by law enforcement across the world. Soon police from France, Ireland and many more other nations shared the popular Jerusalema Dance Challenge.

African hit ‘Jerusalema’, composed by musician Master KG and sung by African gospel vocalist Nomcebo Zikode. An internet rage during the Covid-19 lockdown, with people from across countries uploading videos dancing to Jerusalema, a song by South African DJ and record producer Master KG. The song, in IsiZulu, one of South Africa’s 11 national languages, is a prayer to God to take the singer to the holy city of Jerusalem.
