In an unfortunate turn of events today, Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev got hospitalised after suffering a major heart attack. Reportedly, he is undergoing the angioplasty surgery at an hospital in New Delhi. The World Cup-winning captain is currently under a strict medical attention, according to the reports.
Reportedly, Kapil Dev was already suffering through the diabetes and some other health issues for past few months. Economic Times journalist Teena Thacker shared on her Twitter handle that he is currently undergoing surgery after suffering a heart attack.
The legendary skipper had led Indian cricket team to win their its first ever ODI World Cup back in the year 1983. He is known for inspiring millions of people and he is the among the list of people to teach many youngsters that cricket is no less than a religion today.
The cricket fraternity people such as Irfan Pathan, Vinod Kambli and few others shared heartfelt messages on Twitter upon learning about his health condition and wished for his speedy recovery.

The cricketer is said to have complained about feeling uneasiness last night, following which he was taken to the Escorts hospital in New Delhi. Upon reaching the hospital he was he underwent few tests. Stents have been placed and he is fine as of now, according to the latest reports. He is expected to return home in just few days.
