Lamborghini has launched a new V12 concept for its gamer fans. The Lambo V12 Gran Turismo will be available for a virtual drive through the Gran Turismo Sport racing game on PS4. The new concept was presented by Lamborghini just before the World Finals of the 2019 FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships in Monaco.
The Lambo V12 Gran Turismo might only be available virtually as of yet but it can make for a great racing car for real in the future. It is a single seater designed by Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese. It is based on the same hybridised V12 as the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. V12 has an angular and sharp body with Y-shaped headlights. It also features an enormous split rear wing. The 6.5 litre V12 gives 807 horsepower. According to Sant’Agata Bolognese, it weighs in at a 819kg.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. said, “Lamborghini is a very young brand, and this is why we are here today to present our newest virtual vision in the form of a real model, with a highly futuristic and cool design to be enjoyed by the young generation of racing game and super sports car enthusiasts.”
The V12 Vision GT combines futuristic vision with a little retro splash to create this Batmobile looking version. The car stylists drew their inspiration for the model from the 1968 Marzal concept while making the side windows part of a hexagon.
There is no indication as of yet if the V12 Vision GT concept will make its way as a future production car in reality. The concepts created for Gran Turismo haven’t yet found their way to production.
The Lambo V12 Gran Turismo will be available to race in Gran Turismo Sport sometime in 2020.
