‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday has finally got a release date. Directed by Puri Jagannadh. On Thursday, the makers took to their official social media handle and shared the big announcement with their fans. The romantic sports film is set to hit the big screens on September 9, 2021.

The poster comes with the tagline ‘Saala Cross-Breed.’ The project marks the maiden collaboration of Vijay and filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, who is returning to Bollywood with this project. This also marks Ananya’s Telugu debut with this action drama. With this film which is touted to be a pan-Indian flick, Vijay will be making his Bollywood debut. ‘Liger’ will be released in theatres nationwide.
It is believed that Vijay plays a fighter. Reportedly, the actor prepared for the film for months to make sure he gets the physique right of a fighter. He also underwent martial arts classes in Thailand.
The upcoming Pan-India film is being co-produced by Charmme Kaur along with director Puri’s production house, Puri Connects. The Hindi version of the film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. ‘Liger’ will be released in 5 languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.
