Maharashtra: 15 killed, 5 injured as truck overturns in Jalgaon district

15 were killed as well as 5 left grievously injured in a road accident in Maharashtra‘s Jalgaon district. The fatal accident took place as the truck transporting the labourers overturned. The deceased included six women and two children. The accident took place in Yawal taluka.

According to the police, the accident took place near Kingaon village in Yaval taluka. The injured are being treated at the government hospital in Yawal.

Pm Narendra Modi took to social media to condole the demise of those who lost their lives in the accident. He wrote, “Heart-wrenching truck accident in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest: PM Narendra Modi”

Vasundhara Raje also condoled the death of the labourers.

As per PTI report, All the deceased were labourers from Abhoda, Kerhala and Raver in the district. They were killed as the truck overturned near a temple at Kingaon village. Reportedly the papaya-laden truck overturned as the vehicle’s steering was locked.
