Megastar Mahesh Babu to undergo knee surgery in USA

Tollywood megastar Mahesh Babu is all set to undergo surgery. The actor is basking in the glory of his recent release Sarileru Neekevvaru. He is at present on a three-month vacation with his family in New York. The actor has been suffering from acute knee pain for the past few years due to an injury he sustained during the filming of Aagadu in 2014. Mahesh Babu has decided to go for an knee surgery in the USA for it now.

The surgery will be performed in the coming week and the actor will have to stay in complete rest for five months to fully recover.

As reported by sources to Indian Express, “Mahesh had sustained a knee injury while shooting for the title song of Aagadu in Bellary and has been delaying the surgical procedure due to his hectic work schedule. Even though he contemplated surgery after SPYder (2017), things didn’t work out as he did not want to be away from all the action for a long period. Now that he has completed the promotional activities of his latest release Sarileru Neekevvaru, he has decided to go under the knife in USA.”

On the work front, after the super success of Sarileru Neekevvaru that was directed by Anil Ravipudi and also featured Vijayashanti, Prakash Raj, Satya Dev, Rajendra Prasad, Jayaprakash Reddy in prominent roles. Mahesh will next team up with his Maharshi director Vamshi Paidipally for a slick action thriller. Produced by Dil Raju, the film will see him playing a secret agent and is expected to go on floors in July.
