Coolie No 1: Varun Dhawan & Sara Ali Khan To Feature in Reprised Version of Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha?

The shooting of Coolie No 1, for which Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan have been roped in, has not yet started. Yes, the film is a modern adaptation of 1990’s comedy film, Coolie No 1, which had Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead role. If the report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, both Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan will be seen in the reprised version of Govinda’s popular song, Main Toh Raaste Se Ja Raha Tha

Announcing the film Coolie No1, Both Sara and Varun took to their respective social media account and shared the picture of Porter’s arm claiming no 1 liscened porter. Written by Farhad Samji, the film is likely to release on 1st May 2020, which happens to be International Worker’s Day.

Notably, this would be Varun Dhawan’s third collaboration with his dad David Dhawan after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. Varun will be seen sharing the screen space with Sara Ali Khan for the first time in Coolie No1. In order to generate more curiosity among fans, the director and producers of the film are not leaving any stone unturned.

A source told Pinkvilla, “Given the popularity of the track Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha, the makers are planning to present the reprised version of the same to add to the nostalgia. However, the discussion on the same is at a very nascent stage currently.” This news has enough reason to generate more excitement about the film.

On the professional front, both Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are busy shooting for their upcoming films Street Dancer 3 or Love Aaj Kal 2 respectively. They are likely to begin the shooting for Coolie No 1 from August this year.
