Ali Fasal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu Sharma starrer ‘Mirzapur 2’ has been one of the most anticipated web series of this year. The makers have recently unveiled the new season of the show on Amazon Prime Videos. As the show makes quite a buzz on social media, the Apna Dal MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district, Anupriya Patel has demanded a ban on this web series.
Politician Anupriya Patel has alleged the makers of ‘Mirzapur 2’ of spreading ethnic disharmony among the people. She also stated that the web series is maligning the image of Mirzapur, as the title of the series is based on the real place. She accused the makers of web series of portraying it as a ‘violent region’.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mirzapur is a centre of harmony and the matter must be investigated and strict action taken against those responsible for sullying its image,” reportedly Patel informed the reporters. She also took to her Twitter handle and shared a cryptic note.
‘Mirzapur ‘ series is one of the most popular OTT shows in India. It is set in the backdrop of mafia world and tale of violent feuds between the families, political environment of elections. Alongside, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal , Divyenndu, it also features Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli in the key roles.
