Last week, Luviena Lodh posted a video on her Instagram handle, she made some shocking allegations against filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and his nephew, Sumit Sabharwal, she also claimed that Bhatt is the biggest don of this industry and that if anything was to happen to her or her family, the people responsible would be Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt. She also said that she has filed a divorce case upon knowing about her husband supplying drugs to actresses.
However, Mahesh Bhatt’s lawyer issued a statement on his behalf and denied all the allegations made by Luviena Lodh. Now, in an interview with the Times Of India, Mukesh Bhatt reacted to this and said that he has filed a defamation case against her. “As mentioned in our defamation plaint submitted in the courts today, that Mr. Sumit Sabharwal is only an employee in my production company Vishesh Films for over 20 years as opposed to Ms. Luveena Lodh’s claims that he is our relative in various media reports and publications,” he said.
Mukesh Bhatt also mentioned that their name is being brought in this with an ‘ulterior motive.’ “Ms. Luveena Lodh has consciously and maliciously orchestrated a campaign along with her benefactors to nefariously defame and besmirch the good name and reputation of my brother and myself with the sole and ulterior motive to garner publicity in the hopes that the same would motivate a lucrative out of court settlement in her matrimonial dispute with Sumit. We have the highest faith in our judicial system and intend to see this suit to its logical end.”
