Neena Gupta’s autobiography, ‘Sach Kahun Toh’ has been released, in which she spoke about her extraordinary personal and professional journey, her life, her unconventional pregnancy, and single parenthood, and successful second innings in Bollywood. In the book, she revealed that her close friend and actor Satish Kaushik proposed marriage to her when she was pregnant with Viv Richards’ child, Masaba Gupta.
Satish Kaushik told Neena Gupta: He said to her, “Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we’ll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.”
The ‘Badhaai Ho’ actress launched her autobiography with Kareena Kapoor Khan and during their Instagram video chat , she revealed that she would never have written this book if her parents were alive. “Nobody knew about my dad and mom. I would not have written this if they were alive. My mother has struggled a lot to hide this.”
Gupta was in a relationship with former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards in the 1980s. Since Richards was already married, Gupta decided to raise Masaba on her own as a single mother. Later, in 2008, Gupta married New Delhi-based chartered accountant Vivek Mehra in a private ceremony in the United States. The couple has been married for nearly 13 years now.
