After featuring opposite Irrfan Khan in ‘The Lunchbox (2013), Airlift, and American TV series Homeland, Nimraut Kaur is all set to star in yet another Bollywood film, Dhamaaka. According to a report in Bollywood Bubble, Dhamaaka is jointly produced by Shah Rukh Khan‘s Red Chillies Entertainment and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films.
The report stated that Nimrat Kaur will be seen opposite Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor in Dhamaaka. The film is likely to go on floors in July this year.
As per the report, Arjun Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur’s Dhamaaka will be written Pulkit and Jyotsana Nath. Nimrat Kaur will be playing a cop in Pulkit’s directorial. Prior to this, Pulkit had previously helmed a show on Subhas Chandra Bose and Manav Kaul starrer ‘Maroon’.
The report of Nimrat Kaur featuring opposite Arjun Kapoor in Dhamaaka is yet to be confirmed from the producers and the actors. The official announcement of the cast will be out soon.
Earlier, there were reports that Arjun and Nimrat were supposed to star in a movie together backed by Yash Raj Films but nothing of that sort happened.
Besides her professional life, Nimrat Kaur had been in the news for her personal life as well. In 2018, Former Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shashtri and Nimrat Kaur’s rumoured affair came to fore.
According to a report, Kaur and Shastri had been dating each other for two years. According to media reports, Nimrat and Shashtri met for the first time in 2015 and their friendship blossomed into a relationship.
Reacting to his alleged affair, Shastri had told the leading daily, “Nothing to say when it is the biggest load of cow dung,” Shastri said.
When quizzed further, he repeated, “Cow dung says it all.”
