On the eve of Anushka Shetty’s birthday, the teaser of her upcoming film Nishabdham was unveiled by the makers. The horror thriller also features R Madhavan and is a whodunnit in which everyone is a suspect. The movie has Anushka playing the role of Sakshi, a “mute artist”, while Madhavan is Anthony, a “celebrity musician”.

The teaser starts with Anushka and Madhavan seen driving to a house in the woods for a vacation. The house has a spooky, unkempt basement that adds to the horror element. The teaser also shows flashes of a young girl, though her identity is never disclosed. The idyllic vacation end with a mysterious murder.
Nishabdham, which means “silence”, is written and directed by Hemant Madhukar. the film features Hollywood actor Michael Madsen who is playing a cop in the bilingual film, which has been shot in Telugu, Hindi, and English. The movie also stars Subbaraju Shalini, Pandey Srinivas, and Avasarala among others.
