No empty seats today at Mumbai Football Arena after Sunil Chetri's entreaty

Indian national team dominated Against Chinese Taipei with 5-0 win in the last match. Sunil Chhetri scored his 3rd career hat trick but there wasn’t anyone in the stands to celebrate this happy moment. He scored goals without any prominent celebrations.

Yesterday he used social media to reach out to fans in order to request them to attend matches at the stadium. He says criticize us, abuse us, shout at us but come to the stadium. He points out the importance of having the home support. It gives immense strength and added confidence to have a packed stadium. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli also came up with a video asking people to attend matches at the stadium.

Sunil Chhetri will play his 100th International game today against Kenya at the Mumbai Football Arena. It’s a surprise as well as a joyous moment for the Indian side that all tickets have been sold out for today’s match. Sachin Tendulkar also posted a video insisting fans to come and support their side.

Famous You Tubers like Nikunj Lotia (@BeYouNick) and Prajakta Koli (@MostlySane) came out in support of the national side. An entire stand was booked by “BeYouNick” and they asked football lovers to come and watch the match for free.

Football fans who couldn’t get tickets for this match can book for India vs New Zealand which is to be played at the same venue on 7th June.
