Congratulations are in order for Nusrat Jahan after the Bengali actress turned Trinamool Congress MP gave birth to a baby boy at Neotia Hospital in Kolkata, on Thursday (August 26) The newly turned mother and the newborn baby are doing absolutely well.
According to the Times Of India, Nusrat Jahan underwent a C-section under Dr. Rajiv Agarwaal and a team of doctors. While Nusrat’s mother was spotted near the operation theatre, it was further revealed that her rumored partner and actor-assembly poll candidate Yash Dasgupta, was by her side throughout.
The official announcement by the actress or the hospital officials is yet to be made.
Actress and politician Mimi Chakraborty took to Twitter to congratulate Nusrat for becoming a mother. “Congratulations @nusratchirps wish could hug in personal. Love and hugs (sic),” she wrote.

The hospital officials said: “While any announcements will be made as per the family’s consent, we took care of her comfort and all the medical needs.”
Earlier, today, Nushrat shared an Instagram post in the morning before her delivery and captioned it as: “Faith Over Fear ❤️ #positivity #morningvibes” However, the actress did not mention the ongoing pregnancy nor being admitted to the hospital.
Reportedly, Nusrat was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday at 11 pm and was escorted by her beau Yash. She was also put up in a suite at the hospital.
