CEO Pete Lau reveals OnePlus TV Remote photo

After smartphones, OnePlus is all set to launch TV in India and in order to create buzz, the company keeps unleashing still on the internet. On Friday morning, OnePlus took to their official social media handles and revealed the photo of OnePlus TV remote and it looks beautiful.

Prior to OnePlus TV remote, Pete Lau — CEO of OnePlus—  had earlier shared key details such as 8-speaker configuration or 50W sound output. Notably, OnePlus TV will offer dozens of features including Google Assistant, Chromecast built-in and Google Play services.

The picture of OnePlus TV remote reminds us of Apple TV remote as it has a similar brushed metal body offering a high-end look. However, Pete Lau has not yet shared what each button on the remote can do. But, we can spot the Google Assistant button allowing users to access entertainment platforms, get weather updates and control your smart home devices using your voice. There’s also a button with a OnePlus logo on it, which may take you to OnePlus-specific apps.

If you look at the right side of the remotes it has a volume key. Notably, you can charge the remote by using Type C port.

OnePlus Tv is likely to take on some popular companies like Samsung, LG and Sony. OnePlus has also revealed that the OnePlus TV will offer a 55-inch 4K resolution with a QLED panel in India. The exact date of OnePlus TV launch is yet to be announced by the company, but it is expected to launch later this month and will be exclusively available on Amazon India.
